Individual Lessons

Individual lessons include lots of hands-on work, observation and discussion. For instance, the teacher will guide you from standing to sitting by encouraging you with her hands and verbal cues. You will be asked to notice your reactions and observe differences. At times there is lively discussion about the process, at other times the experience speaks for itself.

Lessons also include practice while lying on a massage table where we continue to explore the principles of the Alexander Technique. Table work releases tension and generally feels great.

As your knowledge increases lessons can be geared to any activity, from sports to singing to playing musical instruments.

Everyone learns at their own pace. A series of lessons is the best way to get a good foundation in the Alexander Technique. You will then be able to apply the principles you've learned to your daily activities.

You will learn something useful in every lesson, even the first one!
