The best way to learn the Alexander Technique is through individual, one-on-one lessons.

Lessons guide you through simple activities, like sitting and standing, breathing, walking, talking, and typing at a keyboard. We use basic movements such as these to explore deeply the habitual patterns that come into play when we go into movement.

The teacher helps you with these movements, pointing out subtle reactions in yourself that are often below your conscious awareness.

These unconscious habits are frequently the cause of much of our tension and pain and are what keep us from performing at our full potential. As you progress, you will learn to become more and more aware of how you react to stimuli and learn how to consciously change your reactions.

Lessons last 50 minutes. Please wear clothes that you can move in comfortably.
